Pheromones are endogenous scents that stimulate animals and result in certain behaviors. Dog Appeasing Pheromones are synthetic versions of the chemicals produced by canine mothers that are whelping litters. These chemicals that are produced by the mother influence the puppies by calming them down and providing them with feelings of assured safety.

As part of the greater crate acclimation process, this non-narcotic stress reliever is perfect for anxious dogs prone to separation anxiety. Studies (such as this one from 2008 and this one from 2010) suggest that D.A.P. administrations significantly reduce excessive licking, barking, and other stress related symptoms in dogs versus control groups.

When acclimating a pet to their crate using the plug-in diffuser, make sure to situate the crate close to an electrical outlet. Apply the plug in and it will provide the same comfortable feeling for your pet or pets as the spray application. Some people prefer the diffuser, since it can be plugged in and left alone to constantly reassure your pet of the crate’s comfort and safety.
